Stamp in exceptional quality with wide margins and part of sheet margin to right, deep, intense shade and strong, clear impression; tied by well-struck black framed FRANCO alongside red Batavia circular datestamp. Envelope with backflap missing and a few other minor faults; company stamp of pharmacy G. Wilcke, Batavia on back.
A clean envelope with the perfect duo of framed FRANCO and red datemark, both perfectly struck; an early usage from Batavia, sent from Wilcke’s popular pharmacy in the Rijswijk part of the Weltevreden district of Batavia.
