1864, 10 cent plate proof, on thin paper, imperforate and without gum as produced. Type 4a wine red with very large margins and large part of sheet margin at bottom; pos. 98, showing some retouches and some striking colour lines below the bottom frame line. This plate was partly retouched (mostly in the first 4 vertical rows) and provided with the small marginal “counting arrows” before they were printed in sheets of 100. J.L. van Dieten Proeven Catalogus (1988), type 4a. A very fresh marginal proof with intense colour in immaculate condition. With certificate Vleeming, 2017.
