1864, 10 cent plate proof, imperforate and without gum as produced. Type 3, dark carmine with very large margins and part of sheet margin on left. This plate was partly retouched (mostly in the first 4 vertical rows) and provided with the small marginal “counting arrows” before they were printed in sheets of 100. J.L. van Dieten Proeven Catalogus (1988), type 3. A very fresh proof with deep, intense colour in immaculate condition, with hinge remnant on back and a purple owner’s mark.
