1878 (20 Aug.) Folded letter sheet franked with Great Britain 2½d, Plate 11 (lettered FA), neatly tied by the barred numeral "942" with LARNACA/AU.20.78 circular datestamp on the reverse. Addressed to Beyrouth, with BRITISH POST OFFICE/BEYROUT/AU.25.78 arrival datestamp on the front. A very fine and attractive early British postal administration usage from Cyprus, shortly after the commencement of British occupation.
