Lucania, Thourioi, AR didrachm, 7.88 g. (21 mm), c. 400-350 BC. Obverse: head of Athena facing right, wearing crested and laureate Attic helmet. Reverse: ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ above. Bull walking right with lowered head, below its belly, tuna fish swimming to left in exergue below ground line. SNG ANS 891.
VF; fine, even toning, with a planchet flaw on the bull and attractive flow lines on reverse.
