New Zealand, Incoming Mail: 1868 (Jun 1) small envelope franked Great Britain 3d and 6d (both with faults) tied by Sunderland duplex, endorsed “Via Panama”, addressed to a Naval Captain at Riverton which lies far south on South Island, sent in closed mail via St Thomas, Colon, and Panama to Wellington, where additionally franked 3d. violet tied by duplex of JY 3 and sent to Invercargill, a port in South Island, with arrival cds of Aug 10.
