1840 (Oct 18) Entire from Scotland to Prince Edward Island with 1840 1d black pl.6 EH, close to good margins, tied by red MC, with ms rate "1/-" below, reverse with Kilmarnock despatch datestamp, carried by the S.S. Caledonia, obverse with Halifax Nova Scotia NOV 14 transit, and manuscript notation "Cy 1/4" (1s Sterling converted to 1s2d(Cy) plus 2d(Cy) for Nova Scotia transit, with final notation "1/6" on arrival into Prince Edward Island.
