1863, 2d rose strip of three of which one bisect, cancelled by cork obliterator of Charlottetown AP 19 1871, sent to Dublin, Ireland. Letter carried by Inman Line’s City of Baltimore, which departed Halifax, NS April 29; Dublin arrival AP 30 1871 on back. The unique example of this franking with a bisect 2d and a showpiece for the top collector. A very attractive envelope on which the address panel has been restored. SG 12b. Certificate BPA 1984 (noting that left hand stamp is defective; we notice a very slight tear).
