1850-1851 Cotton Reel 8c black on green, Type B, initialled "E.T.E.W.", cut octagonally, showing practically complete circular frameline. Cancelled by Demerara double-arc cds, dated 17th of June 1851, on large part cover fragment, with similar cds alongside. Pressed crease at left, discolouration and fragment creases also, nevertheless a remarkably fine example not affected by thins as many of these issues are, hence, a wonderful example of the rare and popular classic issue. Note: The 8c was recorded as used between August 1850 and November 1851.
