1859 20 Gr., two singles of black-slate (nero ardesia), together with two singles 2 Gr., on cover dated 20 February 1860 from Messina to Genoa. Endorsed "Postale Francese" and struck with the red three-line maritime handstamp, also tying one of the 20 Gr. stamps. Arrival backstamp on reverse.
A fine and highly attractive maritime cover, featuring an impressive four-stamp franking carried by the French packet service. An excellent exhibition-quality postal history item.
