1859 20 Gr., dark slate (ardesia scuro), position 38, together with 2 Gr. Plate III, light blue (azzurro chiaro), position 5, on a large part printed Prices Current dated 7 November from Messina to Genoa. Both stamps are neatly cancelled and carried by the French maritime service, with arrival backstamp on reverse. Fine and clean condition.
A scarce and highly attractive commercial usage, combining a high-value franking on printed matter with French maritime conveyance. An excellent exhibition-quality postal history item.
