1859 20 Gr., together with two 10 Gr. and a pair of 2 Gr. Plate II, on part entire dated 11 July from Catania to Livorno, endorsed "Coi Postali Francesi". Struck with the oval-framed three-line handstamp of the Tuscan Consulate in Catania, with three further impressions on the reverse and red Livorno arrival datestamp. Old address removed and readdressed to Livorno, one 10Gr. creased and parts of the reverse of the entire are now missing, though the cover remains highly attractive.
A remarkable and important high-rate maritime cover, bearing an impressive multi-value franking and the rare Tuscan Consular handstamp. An unpriced franking in the Sassone catalogue and an outstanding exhibition-quality postal history item.
