1859 20 Gr., on entire dated 1 July from Catania to Naples, bearing a single franking with good to close margins. Endorsed "Vapore Francese" and routed via Messina, with red oval maritime handstamp and arrival backstamp.

A scarce and attractive maritime cover, carried by the French packet service and showing the distinctive red maritime handstamp. An excellent exhibition-quality postal history item.
