1859 2 Gr. Plate III, blue (azzurro), used on large part cover front with a block of eight (4 × 2), positions 51–54 and 61–64, together with an additional single, with framed oval Castrogiovanni alongside. Some margins touched, the single with a crease, and slight toning, none of which materially detracts from the appearance.
Believed to be the largest known used block of the 2 Grana value, this is an item of major rarity and importance. A spectacular exhibition showpiece, combining an exceptional block, rarity and visual impact.
