Plate I, state I, rust-brown (bruno ruggine), horizontal pair, the right-hand stamp showing position 55 retouch (under chin), the left-hand stamp with bottom margin just touched, the scissor cut running alongside and slightly into the design, on 1859 (Apr.) outer letter sheet to Messina, neatly used with oval-framed ACIREALE despatch handstamp at top and arrival backstamp.
