1859 1 Gr. Plate I, rust-brown (bruno ruggine), horizontal pair in positions 15–16, on 1859 Nov 29 cover from Palermo to Girgenti, franked and cancelled by a single framed handstamp, contrary to regulations. Both stamps show retouches, the latter being a rarity.
A scarce and highly appealing cover with notable philatelic significance.
