Plate I, deep rust-brown (bruno ruggine intenso), pair with four good to large margins, right stamp showing "Ring on the nose" typical and constant variety from position 86, on 1859 (Mar. 28) outer letter sheet to Palermo. Fine oval GIRGENTI despatch handstamp at right, partly overstruck by Palermo arrival cds. An extremely fine and attractive item.
