1859 1/2 Gr. plate I, porous paper (NA) orange (arancio), single at left and three overlapping singles at right, the first of the latter showing the retouch from Position 31; all tied on 1859 (22 Nov) cover from Palermo to Girgenti. The stamps are generally well-margined for the issue, the overlapping arrangement creating an especially attractive appearance. A scarce four-stamp franking featuring a notable retouched cliché, and a fine and desirable cover.
