1852 (14 Apr) Registered wrapper from Glasgow, Scotland, to Rotterdam, Netherlands. Bearing 1847–54 1s Embossed green in a vertical pair, fine to good margins, together with 1841 2d blue Plate 4 strip of three, slightly cut into at lower left. Paying the 2s rate via Thames Packet to Rotterdam (up to ¾oz) plus 6d registration fee.
All stamps neatly tied by “159” Scottish numeral cancellations. Clear markings include “REGISTERED AT GLASGOW”, Crown registration handstamp, and “Engeland / Franco”. Reverse with despatch and Rotterdam arrival date stamps. A fine and very attractive registered franking.
