Description

1847–54 6d Violet (watermark reversed, as usual). A very fine example with four large to very large margins, retaining greenish-tinted original gum. Shows a ghost impression at left and below. A trace of a tiny tone in the margin, only on reverse.

A particularly fine example of this major mint rarity. (SG £12,000).
