Batavia. 10 cent 1868 and 50 cent 1870 in mixed franking on envelope from Batavia to Deventer. Stamps struck and tied to envelope by Batavia half-round franco postmark 10.6 1870 type VI with an additional strike on the cover and written directive “via Marseille, franco”. On back is Deventer arrival 27.7 1870. Stamps with faultless perforation on a complete folded letter without content; the address is effaced and a paper put stuck on. A rare and attractive mixed franking cover of which only about 25 examples have been recorded.
