Poerworedjo. 1870, 10 cent brown on Chinese letter from sub-post office Wonosobo, via Poerworedjo to Samarang; stamp tied by framed FRANCO and Poerworedjo half-round franco postmark 1.5 1872 with an additional strike on the front. Line mark Wonosobo in red (31 mm) on back alongside Samarang circular arrival 3.5 1872. Folded Chinese letter with the standard red chops on front; letter and stamp affected by insects with some loss to front and part restoration. The FRANCO cancel was applied in Wonosobo, 40 km north of Poerworedjo where they subsequently struck the date mark. The unique letter with the half-round franco of Poerworedjo; despite condition issues, a top rarity of the NEI half-round franco postmarks.
