Padang. 1870, 5 cent green with Padang half-round franco postmark 29.1871. Well struck complete postmark on a stamp with excellent perforation and a few light creases only visible from back. Additionally, struck by part of the part of the framed line mark SIBOGA, of the small collecting office (“bestelhuis”) that was located 350 km north of Padang on Sumatra’s west coast and which operated prior to May 1873. Only 4 stamps of the first three issues are known with the extremely rare Siboga mark. Bulterman, Langstempels, RRR.
