Batavia. 1870, 50 cent red horizontal strip of six with four perfectly placed and largely complete Batavia half-round franco postmark 19.10 1870 type IV (with a cursive “7”). Strip re-joined at the middle by a hinge, with a tiny pinhole on the fourth stamp and excellent perforation all around. An exceedingly rare unit with well-struck postmarks and great visual appeal.
