Design by Brothers Virey in Paris; engraving by E. Schilling, Berlin; Typography by John Enschede & Sons in Haarlem; proof on cardboard by J. Vürtheim in Rotterdam. The proof was originally submitted on cardboard with 3 values of Netherlands King Willem III designs. J.L. van Dieten Proeven Catalogus (1988), PC 6. An extremely rare die proof and attractive; probably only three known.
The other proof of this type was ex Bulterman collection and sold with NPV, March 2019, lot 5763 (3000 eur. hammer). Another sold with Van Dieten, 562, Sep. 1996, lot 3719 (8200 fl. hammer).
