Timor. 1864, 10 cent red on yellow envelope from Timor to Batavia. Stamp with clear to wide margins, centrally struck and tied to envelope by half-round franco cancel Timor 10.10 1866 with an additional strike on the envelope. Envelope with name effaced and the datemark strike on cover touched up. On back is red Batavia arrival 20.10 1866. The earliest recorded use of the Timor cancel on the first issue and one of two known letters from the Timor Island post office.
