Pekalongan. 1864, 10 cent red on Chinese envelope from Pekalongan to Samarang. Stamp cut into on left side, otherwise very fine and perfectly tied by centered strike of the half-round franco cancel Pekalongan 29.2 1868 with an additional strike on the cover; on the back is a red circular Samarang arrival 1.3 1868. A very fine and extremely rare envelope sent between members of the Chinese community in Central Java.
