1805 (?), VOC 10 stuiver postmark in red (WdB 6b) on folded letter sheet to C.F. Back, scriba, te Peccalongan. Empty letter sheet with “1805” written in pencil within; this is plausible but unverifiable. Some browning to cover and small part of top is missing; large part of red wax seal on back.
Charged 10st for double sheet (“tweede formaat”). With detailed certificate van der Vlist, 2002, in which he notes that the postmark type is similar to that found on letters sent from Samarang.
