c. 1860, undated folded letter sent from Banjermassing to Barmen, Prussia, struck by clear black Banjermassing Franco negative impression postmark with postmark (WdB 100a, used 1856-1863; from 1863 the postmark was struck in blue). Letter with manuscript directive "via Triest p. overland mail". On back is rectangular EMMERICH/OBERHAUSEN/2 4 - III and circular AUSG No 3 2 4 . Also rate marking 480, deleted and replaced by 360, indicating overland mail third weight step via Triest (Dec. 1848-Oct. 1864). Very fine, reinforced with transparent tape at top. With detailed certificate van der Vlist (2008).
