1838, complete folded letter Batavia to Samarang, perfectly struck by blue Batavia Ongefrankeed with posthorn (WdB 113b) with accompanying rate marking 90ct (WdB 73b). A perfectly preserved letter To Daendels in Samarang with full correspondence inside, incl. very interesting note "Per post 23 junii verzonden 10 Bank billeted a f. 1000 elk". A flawless entire letter with the misspelled Batavia postmark ("Ongefrankeed" instead of "Ongefrankeerd") and rare 90ct charge marking.
