1952 Size I 3pi blue registered envelope to England, uprated with Pictorial 4½pi, tied by REGISTERED/NICOSIA, CYPRUS oval datestamp. On arrival, the cover was charged 7s 2d in Great Britain Postage Due stamps, apparently to collect a customs charge. An unusual and attractive usage combining Cyprus postal stationery with a high-value British postage due franking.
