1935 Zeppelin First Flight to Brazil
Registered Zeppelin First Flight cover posted from Nicosia on 25 March 1935 and addressed to Bahia, Brazil, via London and Friedrichshafen. Franked with the King George V definitive set to 9 piastres, overpaying the required Zeppelin rate by ½ piastre, and cancelled by the oval "REGISTERED / NICOSIA, CYPRUS / 25 MAR 35" datestamp. The cover bears a Bahia arrival backstamp dated 10 April 1935. A rare and highly desirable example of Cyprus Zeppelin airmail, carried on the 1935 South America First Flight. Plus one used real photo card of a Zeppelin and an unused Zeppelin metal postcard.
