1918 World War I commercial cover from Limassol to Manchester, struck on arrival with black cachet “DAMAGED BY IMMERSION IN WATER”, following the sinking of the S.S. Kosseir by a German U-boat. An important maritime disaster cover and one of only two recorded examples.
