1917 (14,11) French soldier’s stampless postcard addressed to France, tied by the rare “TRÉSOR ET POSTES 601B” military datestamp dated 14 November 1917. The card originated from the Légion d’Orient camp at Monarga, where French forces were stationed between 1916 and 1921. The Legion, composed largely of Armenian volunteers under French command, supported Allied operations against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War. An exceptional item of French military postal history from Cyprus, with only a few examples recorded bearing this cancellation.
