This attractive black-and-white real photographic postcard, depicting a romantic scene, was mailed to Nicosia and franked with a King George V 10 para stamp. It is cancelled with the scarce Travelling Post Office (T.P.O.) handstamp "R.P.O. * CYPRUS * No. 10" (Type 36), used aboard the Cyprus Government Railway. Railway postmarks are highly sought after by collectors, reflecting the island's short-lived railway postal service, which operated between 1905 and 1951.
