1906 OHMS "Animal Show" Poster – Nicosia to Famagusta
Exceptional OHMS large folded Animal Show poster sent from Nicosia to The Commissioner at Famagusta, bearing a red NICOSIA / JA.17.06 / OFFICIAL PAID circular datestamp.
The trilingual poster, printed in English, Arabic, and Greek, announces an "Animal Show" organised by The Committee for the Improvement of the Breed of Cyprus Stock, to be held at Nicosia on the third day of the Feast of Kourban Bairam in 1906. Additional 1923 "Certificate of Ownership of Animals" from Limassol with Arabic negative seal.
An unusual, very fine, and possibly unique example of official postal history and early Cypriot ephemera.
