1900 Incoming picture postcard from Württemberg (Germany) to Larnaca, uprated with a 5pf German stamp, which was not valid for postage as Württemberg continued to use its own postage stamps. The franking was disallowed and the card assessed 25 centimes in manuscript, converted on arrival to 1½ copper piastres at the Larnaca Post Office. A rare and unusual postage due usage illustrating the complexities of the German States' postal arrangements at the turn of the twentieth century.
