1893 (26 Aug.) Incoming postal stationery envelope from Stamboul to Larnaca, Cyprus, carried by ship and received at the Sea Post Office Branch, Larnaca, where it was struck with the rare “SHIP LETTER” handstamp. An outstanding maritime postal history item and one of only two recorded examples of this cancellation.
