1890 Illustrated U.P.U. 1d blue printed stationery envelope, sent from Llangollen, Wales, to Larnaca, Cyprus, struck with a hexagonal "T" tax handstamp and initially assessed with "1½ C.P.", subsequently cancelled and replaced by "2½ C.P." alongside. A remarkable and attractive example displaying two different Cyprus postage due assessments on the same cover. Very fine and scarce, illustrating the correction of an initial tax calculation.
