1879 (22 May) cover from Larnaca to London, England. Bearing Great Britain 2½d rose and a pair of 1d red, all cancelled by “942” numeral cancellation, paying the normal rate plus the 2d late fee posting with boxed PAID/LATE FEE and Larnaca datestamp alongside, with arrival cancellation on reverse. The cover shows damage to the top left corner.
One of only three recorded examples to date. An exhibition showpiece.
