1930 Registered letter from Mecca to Ottoman Bank in Port Said, franked by high values 20g violet, 10pi brown, for 33 1/2pi rate, all stamps tied by very rare Mekke (télégr.) cds in violet (Uexkull fig. 61: RRR), also on front are perfect Mecca reg. label and pink Valeur Déclarée label. On reverse are Port Taufiq and Ismailia transits and Port Said arrival 16 Mar 1930. An attractive and scarce large-size envelope with high-value stamps cancelled by the telegraph mark (Uexkull: "recorded on a telegram").
