Obverse: ‘archer’ type; king wearing short tunic over trousers and necklace, a dagger on belt, standing left, holding a longbow in left hand and arrow in right, Garuda standard at left with only top visible, Brahmi inscription Samudra below his left arm, circular Brahmi legend around from 1 o'clock, including apraratha (a well-known misspelling). Reverse: goddess Lakshmi enthroned facing, holding diadem and cornucopia, Brahmi inscription at right, apratiratha, tamgha left, dotted border around. Very rare and a rare variety among archer coins. Raven, SG/group 2.
