King with halo and long shoulder-length curly hair wearing tailed tunic and sash over loin cloth, standing left, holding longbow in left hand, arrow in right, complete Garuda standard at left and ring diadem, Brahmi legend under arm, skanda, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend on reverse Kramadityah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class II, variant A, 1. Raven, SkG/group 6.
This variant has a geometric tamgha symbol on the reverse with two horizontal bars instead of one. No similar variant has been identified in the known corpus of Skandagupta archer coins.
VF, both sides are attractive and well-centered; obverse die appears to have been worn and rusty, slight edge crack at 3 o'clock.
