Gupta Empire, Chandragupta III, c. 450-455, AV dinar, 8.31 g. (20 mm). Obverse: Archer type; elegant king with halo and wearing long-tailed tunic over loin cloth next to Garuda standard with a crescent between king and standard, the circular Brahmi legend did not reach the flan. Reverse: goddess seated on lotus and holding a fillet in right hand and a lotus in left hand resting on knee, with a diamond tamgha next to her, legend srivikkramah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety T, 1 (ascribed to Chandragupta II). Raven, CG3/group 1.
VF, well-struck and centred, some good details on obverse strike including the king's clothing and facial features; some reduction of the edge perhaps stemming from earlier filing visible from obverse 3 o'clock.
