Obverse: Archer type, king with halo, head turned to left, holding a longbow by the middle with string outward, Garuda standard at left, Brahmi legend to the right of bowstring, kumara; distorted traces of the Brahmi circular legend in large letters, read by Raven as mahārājādhirāja-śrīkumāraguptaḥ, (the Great King over Great Kings, the noble Kumāragupta), from 1 o’clock. Reverse: Lakshmi without halo sitting on seven-petaled lotus with left hand raised, holding diadem and lotus flower, Brahmi legend right, srimahendrah, tamgha worn flat.
