Obverse: Lion-Slayer type; king without halo wearing a cap, holding the bow in his left hand, and firing an arrow at the lion to the left. Truncated Brahmi legend around. Reverse: nimbate Lakshmi sitting with legs folded facing on a lion turned to the left, holding a diadem in her raised right hand and a cornucopia in left; tamgha to left, Brahmi legend to right sinhavikrama. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety B1. Raven, CG2/group 1.
A scarce, important, and probably early variant that shows traces of a beaded backrest on reverse top left and in right field close to the legend.
Fine, some doubling of strike on obverse, punch mark on obverse field.
