Tête de Bouddha en grès, Thaïlande, royaume d’Ayutthaya, XVIe–XVIIe siècle.Le visage présente une expression paisible, avec les paupières mi-closes sous des arcades sourcilières arquées, une bouche aux lèvres pleines esquissant un léger sourire. La chevelure est traitée en mèches perlées, s’élevant en un ushnisha arrondi.
H. 23,5 cm, L. 13,5 cm (hors socle)
État : bon état général. Éclats et manques visibles, notamment au sommet de l’ushnisha et sur l’oreille droite. Présence de restes de polychromie rouge en creux, notamment à l’arrière et sur les côtés. Montée sur un socle en bois.
H. 23.5 cm, W. 13.5 cm (excluding base)
Condition: good overall condition. Visible chips and losses, notably to the top of the ushnisha and the right ear. Traces of red pigment in recessed areas, particularly on the back and sides. Mounted on a wooden base.
