Le sommet du capuchon accueille l'emblème Montblanc fluorescent — clin d'œil au célèbre feu vert du ponton de Daisy dans le roman. La pince platinée prend la forme d'un money clip, ornée du monogramme Art Déco de Jay Gatsby en or. Le cône rappelle le bouchon gravé d'une flasque, cerclé de fins anneaux aux couleurs du drapeau américain. Barrel and cap finished in a deep blue resin whose surface treatment evokes the illuminated Art Deco façades of New York's skyscrapers. The cap top features a fluorescent Montblanc emblem — a nod to the famous green light on Daisy's dock in the novel. The platinum-coated clip takes the form of a money clip, bearing Jay Gatsby's initials in a gold Art Deco monogram. The cone references the engraved stopper of a period hip flask, encircled by fine rings in the colours of the American flag. Handcrafted solid Au 585 rhodium-coated gold nib, engraved with an image of Gatsby's sumptuous automobile.
Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece (1925), this Great Characters edition pays tribute to the Jazz Age and the American dream with the narrative coherence and refinement of execution that define the manufacture.
