Gupta Empire, Kumaragupta II, c. 473-476, AV dinar, 9.20 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type, king standing left, holding in left hand a longbow pointed outward, and in right hand an arrow. Garuda standard at left, flower between Garuda and king’s head, Brahmi legend in right field, Kumara. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo sitting on seven-petaled lotus, holding long-stemmed lotus flower and diadem, Brahmi legend right, dotted border around. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety B4 (with flower symbol between Garuda and king). An extremely rare coin.
EF, well-centered with sharp and well-struck details, lustrous surfaces.
