Great Britain, Halfcrown, James II (1685-1688), 1685, 14.69 g. (32 mm). Obverse: laureate and draped bust left, IACOBUS II DEI GRATIA. Reverse: crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, with inscription around. Edge inscribed in raised letters and dated PRIMO.
Very well struck and with well-defined portrait, tiny hairline mark to cheek, otherwise practically as struck, attractively toned and one of the finest of the PRIMO coins.
